POSITION: NEW CLUB DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

LOCATION: Remote work with an expectation of occasionally attending No
Name Club Head Office, Kilkenny.

REPORTING TO: Operations Manager on behalf of NNC Board.

SALARY: € *. * per hour.

DURATION: Contract from commencement date to **Apply on the
website**th June * with 2-month probationary
period – subject to satisfactory performance and ongoing funding.

The primary role of the New Club Development Officer is to develop and
grow new No Name Clubs nationwide and to work as part of the No Name
Club staff team supporting our clubs, volunteers, and young people in
delivering our programmes, activities, and events.

ADMINISTRATION

* Work in association with No Name Club Support Officers regionally
in creating and supporting the development of new No Name Clubs.
* Manage an effective record system of all club developments &
outcomes in each region.
* Liaise with the NNC office as required.
* Ensure GDPR compliance and systems maintained.
* Liaise with other relevant agencies/service supports to promote
and grow numbers of No Name Clubs.
* Support planning, operation, and participation opportunities for
clubs regarding No Name Club regional and national events.
* Any other administration tasks as directed by the Operations
Manager.

DEVELOPMENT

* Delivery of core organisation ethos and values message as central
to club creation and development.
* Identify and progress potential club development opportunities on
a local, regional, and national basis.
* Engage with Volunteer Services and other sources of volunteer
recruitment possibilities.
* Develop good relationships with community groups, volunteer
groups, schools, local partnerships, local authorities, and similar
important contacts to identify Club development opportunities.
* Liaise with other services to ensure alignment and development of
NNC value proposition.
* Monitor, review and report on all new training inputs/outputs and
outcomes.
* Any other administrative and development tasks as directed by the
operations manager.

THE PERSON:

ESSENTIAL

* KNOWLEDGE OF POST

* Solid understanding of the role of youth work and knowledge of
youth services.
* Experience of youth organisations, development of youth groups and
clubs.
* Good understanding of the ethos and values of No Name Club.
* Good understanding and awareness around the issues arising for
young people regarding alcohol use, drug use and substance misuse.
* Communication & Teamwork – excellent verbal, written and
presentation skills, proven ability to work in a team environment.

* WORK EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

* Previous experience of working with or in a volunteer-led
organisation.
* Previous experience in Administration, Project Management and/or
training program development.
* Experience of Youth Work and working with Youth towards better
outcomes.
* Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate those around
them.
* Have demonstrated initiative and ability to think strategically.

* EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Major Award at 3rd Level (NFQ Level 6 or higher) in Youth Work,
Health Promotion, or a similar qualification is desirable but not
essential.
* Full & clean driver license required.
